Welcome to the Ethics Committee section of the Central domain! Here you can find all information needed on the Foundation's Ethics committee.

The Ethics Committee of the SCP Foundation is an integral part of the Foundation, ensuring that ethical standards are upheld in the containment and study of anomalous objects. Founded on principles of morality, responsibility, and transparency, the committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance between scientific progress and ethical considerations. The Ethics Committee ensures that the Code of Ethics is being followed within the site by everyone.

Additionally, the Ethics Committee serves the role of enforcement in a sense of "they punish anyone who breaks the Code of Ethics". It deems actions as ethical or unethical and holds the right to enforce the Code of Ethics however they see fit. As part of the Code, they ensure the Foundation does not needlessly waste Class-D personnel during tests.
